01How the AI works

Slyp uses an on-device AI model to read and extract data from receipt images. This model runs entirely on your iPhone: no server, no cloud, no connection required.

02What data we collect

We collect essentially nothing. Here is the complete list:

• Subscription status only, handled entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation that you have an active subscription, with no payment details, no card numbers, no billing address.
• Crash reports, only if you opt into Apple's crash reporting on your device. These contain no receipt data.

That is the entire list. We have no user accounts, no email addresses, no device identifiers, and no analytics data.

03What we do not collect

• Receipt images or scans
• Extracted receipt data such as store names, amounts, or dates
• Location data
• Usage analytics or session data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Your name, email address, or any personal information
• Any data from third-party SDKs or analytics frameworks

Slyp contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

04Where your data is stored

All receipt data is stored in your iPhone's local database. It lives in your app's sandboxed storage and is only accessible to Slyp.

If you enable iCloud backup in Settings, your receipt database is backed up to your personal iCloud account using Apple's encrypted iCloud storage. We have no access to your iCloud data.

05Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. When you subscribe:

• Payment is processed by Apple, not by us
• We never see your credit card, bank, or billing information
• You can cancel at any time in your iPhone Settings under Subscriptions
• Refund requests are handled by Apple

06Third parties

We do not share your data with any third parties because we do not have any data to share. We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services.

07Children's privacy

Slyp does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Because all processing is on-device and we collect no personal information, there are no special risks related to children's use of this app.

08Changes to this policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and notify users via an in-app message. We will never change the fundamental principle that your receipt data stays on your device.
